After queening all over our TV screens and gracing the world’s
glossiest magazines Bonang Matheba settles down to give us a long overdue
reality show which give us a closer look into her hive. The news came over on
Friday and we were 50% excited plainly because the show will be on the premium channel
VuzuAmp but we will be depending on Lit Twitter to update us.
Without a doubt and honestly Bonang has been the hardest working
woman in the game since forever. She started out hosting Live back in the day
with Andile Ncube and worked her way up to being a pioneer radio personality
while hosting the hottest award shows in the continent and bagging a few awards
herself. I am not going to lie to you guys, even though I might have been too
young to know anything but there was something I did not like about Bonang back
in the day but she has grown into such an amazing queen who serves goal to
every young person in the country.
One of the best things I love about her is that she understands herself, once in an
interview she made it clear that she is no actress, this was after she had a
small stint on SABC 1’s Intersexions (one of the best shows in the land) being
a nurse in a township hospital alongside recent SAFTA winner Linda Sebezo. She also allegedly turned down a role from
Muvhango which was then played by Lerato Kganyago and another one from
Generations: The Legacy which was played by Lerato Moloi. This just goes to
show that she does not just follow the money she aligns it with her abilities,
talents and maybe sometimes her worth. Plus the truth is I also wouldn’t want
her to act in an everyday soap I would rather see her in a big movie, she’s that
much of a treasure.
The queen is blessing
us with a reality show this year which will be coming to your screens in July. We’re
not sure how much the success of Somizi’s show has to do with this but the
point is; we’re been waiting. It is said that the show will let us in into the
relationship she has with her mother, cousin and of course AKA and also her
business interactions. We could do with a whole lot less of AKA right now but
hey it is what is.
When the show finally hits DSTV Compact I will be watching
just for the business side of things because girl has been killing it the whole
time, she has done the most unimaginable things in her life and I think it will
be just an inspiration to the youth. We need to know that these things don’t just
happen a lot of hard work actually goes into it (as they say)
