Babes Wodumo Touches Lives

The current it girl of music has been called out for her so called “provocative” dance moves. She is currently dealing with bullets from feminist groups who accuse her of polluting the mind of young girls with her performance persona

Babes Wodumo has the most played song on radio and people have caught on feelings. Feminists called her out for her dance moves on Wololo claiming that she is not being a good role model to young girls and that she is insinuating that for a woman to be successful she has to flash her body to men and that the likes of Babes draw back women’s struggle for emancipation. At least some people have come to Babes rescue saying that woman have every right to be sexual agents and not worry about the gaze of men, the most important thing is how it makes her feel

It is expected that when you become a sensation you will always have people firing at you, we just hope Babes gracefully dodges every bullet and do her cause clearly people like what she is doing. If it was just about the body then the song wouldn’t have been a radio hit, that means her fans appreciate her art and are not just lusting.
As far as the comparison between her and the legendary Lebo Mathosa goes, we say she still has a long way to go, we have discovered she’s got the moves but now she has to show us the voice and the balls.Remember Lebo did things that were taboo in society at the time and she fully committed to her craft and never apologized for it. But we do hopes Babes takes us all the way to earn her spot amongst the legendary.

According to The Daily Sun, rapper AKA's relationship with his long time record label, Vth Season could be coming to an end. The local paper reported that there was a number of sources that confirmed Aka's possible departure from the label. Apparently the rapper has been meeting with Mabala Noise for some time now and could be signing a contract by the end of this week. According to one of the sources, the agreement is only verbal for now, but a contract could be signed at the end of the week. However, both AKA and Vth season boss Raphael Benza denied the rumour.

Idols SA Cuts Deep

The time has come for the judges to hand over the decision of who stays and on who goes on the renowned singing competition Idols. Last night the judges made a huge cut from 37 to just 16 and we’re quite impressed with their picks .This year there were a lot of let downs, for some reason everyone seemed to be on the same level but someone has to win and the lot has to lose an there’s always some to mourn in this kind of shows. Let us weep for the fallen faves that couldn’t escape cut.

1.       Bongiwe
Bongiwe is the 18 year old thick beauty who stood out in her very first audition in Cape Town with her very unique look and of course her vocals as well. Though we feel she didn’t try hard enough in her solo performance we feel her vocal presentation hit the right spots still

2.       Kea
This dude has amazing vocals that could do wonders in the afro-pop circles but no, they had to sabotage him with Ciara’s I Bet for his solo performance. We don’t know about you guys but we feel the song is bad enough sung by the original artist, we can’t help but wonder who thought a guy with course vocals could make it magical.

3.       Ntokozo
Aaaaah this one shame, all cute and stuff. We think she did her best, she’s young she still has a lot to learn

4.       Faith
It was sad to see the last of the 3 sisters bow out but they cleared who is the best singer in the family, Faith is! And we always thought so

5.       Sazi

The beauty amongst all finally got slapped with reality last night. Her money is in her face and body and not her voice but we’ll miss her anyway.
